Super Rare Victorian One Plank Top Epic Burr Burl Elm Refectory Dining Table

  
Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this exceptionally rare one plank top heavily Burred Elm Victorian Refectory table. That coupled with this being in absolutely sublime solid burl elm really takes this table to another level. The table has been fully restored, the base has warped all over, I had the carpenter dismantle it into the main components, then shave or add timber where required to level it out. The reason this happens is the table top is one solid piece and it always changes shape overtime, when it does it pulls the base with it.

The table top has a 0.5-2cm height different on every corner, its now as level as it will ever be. I have also had the top lightly refinished, its been sympathetically washed back and then finished with a bar table top polish which is very hard, the idea being I wanted to bring out the colour, remove the imperfections and protect the top for the next family.
