18th Century American birch and maple square Top Candlestand with ovolo corners C. Lovely cabriole legs on base, country swell turned column with Checkerboard carving, Spider on underside of legs, Connecticut or New Hampshire. Slight bulbous turning to column. Top is a full inch thick, accounting for the several repairs to the legs and feet, which required additional strength added in early make-do repairs.
