An American mahogany Queen Anne tilt top tea table, Philadelphia area, PA, circa 1770. The table has a highly figured dished top solid Santo Domingo mahogany board top, baluster form with suppressed ball column pedestal base and cabriole legs ending in snake feet.
The base is all original, including most of the finish. The top has a few repairs but is intact and breathtaking. There is a repaired spot on the top most noticeable from underneath.
The color is superb throughout! The table has a birdcage support and turns and tilts nicely. 33 3/4" by 33 1/4". It is 27 1/2 high. Guaranteed to be as described. This table has beautifully arched legs lifting above the knee, and has perfect Philadelphia form. Great color, figuring, sculptural quality, birdcage AND a dish top!
