Antique 19 Century Mahogany Flip Top Game Table RARE, BEAUTIFUL & Priced to sell

  

This gorgeous Game Table flips open to form a larger surface (about twice the size as when closed) along with some storage underneath. Table is still supported by only 4 legs while open, rather than a 5th or other swing out support. After flipping the table open, simply slide table top forward towards the base which adds more than enough support for entire table. Remarkable design, especially considering time period. Condition is MUCH better (and more visually appealing) than virtually every similar piece Ive seen in person or online, especially when comparing price for pieces even near this style or quality.

In my opinion, this item is also much more unique than most in terms of design, detail and without the need for an additional leg or support while fully open. Truly a rare collector's item with practicality. When opened, it's large for several people to sit and play games, when closed you aren't blocking a ton of space in a hallway or small room.

Table has been kept in non-smoking, clean & private residence for decades of my ownership and is in very good vintage condition; minor signs of light wear and tear/some very light scratches on top and/or side. Any light imperfection is cosmetic in nature and non-structural. All of which are to be expected on furniture this old. The top does have a small spot with some light discoloration - seen in pictures - was caused by a wet drink left for a small amount of time that I believe discolored the prior wax job. Also a tiny smudge/light mark on the top, near the back around the inlaid wood part.

Not even calling it a dent because I dont think qualifies, more of a smudge. Those, along with prior mentioned tiny scratches on top here or there are only and (insignificant) damage, which again, should be expected with any similar antique furniture - but nothing unexpected or unseen in pictures/description.
