Antique American Mahogany Chippendale Drop Leaf Dining Table Circa 1770. A very fine American mahogany Chippendale drop leaf dining table, probably Philadelphia, circa 1770. The table features solid Santo-Domingan mahogany boards on the top with well carved ball and claw feet.
The table opens to an oval shape which is somewhat unusual for these tables. It gives it very elegant lines. It is 27 1/2" high by 45 1/2" wide by 19 deep when closed. The drop leaves are each 22 deep so opened, the table is approx. The table has an old oil refinish which is in good condition with some surface scratches.Please view all photos carefully.
