Please continue to watch our site as you never know what dollhouse furniture and accessories I may offer next.
Tynie Toy Dollhouse Furniture History Tynie Toy is one of the most popular and sought after antique dollhouse furniture makers today. This company was born out of perseverance, integrity, talent and a love of miniatures and fine craftsmanship. In the 1900's creating handicrafts such as embroidery and quilting were part of women's daily activities.Working on handicrafts together provided a social outlet for women and led to the founding of clubs such as the Handicraft Club in 1904 in Providence RI. Two club members, Marion Perkins and Amey Vernon partnered and eventually decided to form the Tynie Toy business in 1920. During their hayday, Tynie Toy employed more than 40 people and was a major employer of WW1 veterans. The company stayed in existence through WW2. Condition: - Good - Used Condition. The chairs all display light scratching. There are some scattered nicks / chips to the wood areas which I would describe as minor. There are some minor green paint losses on two of the side chairs. There is what I would describe as general wear which would be expected for items of this age. The table display very light scratching.
The table sides when raised are not completely flat (shown in pictures). That's because the support under the table doesn't firmly push against the underside on one side. I believe this to simply be an adjustment that I have not attempted to make. This furniture looks like it was only used for display purposes. Please see the pictures to view the condition of the item for yourself.Size Approximation: Arm Chair - Height 3 7/8" - Width 2 1/4" - Depth 1 7/8" - Arm Chairs Height 3 3/4" - Width 2 1/8" - Depth 1 3/4" - Table Width (open) 5 3/8" - Length 4" - Height 2 5/8.
