Baker Furniture Mahogany Butler's Tray Style Coffee Table Immaculate Condition

  
Beautiful near mint to mint butler's tray style coffee table by luxury brand Baker Furniture. Dating from the 1980s, it is made of mahogany solids and veneers, and features solid polished brass hardware.

English Georgian in style, with a rectangular base that has triangular legs with reeded detail and corner support brackets. The separate top is oval, and all four sides raise vertically on brass hinges. The raised sides each have a simple cut-out handle. The center of the top is divided into four sections by two cross bands, and the outer edges are framed by this same band with mitered corners.

Silver metal Baker label on the underside of the tray top. Measurements: the base portion is 29.5" wide, 20.5" deep and 17.5 high. With the tray top on and the sides raised: 32.5" wide, 23.5" deep and 18 high to the table surface.

The table is 23 tall to the top of the raised sides. When the sides are lowered, the table top is 42" wide and 33" deep. The space from the floor to the underside of the base is 15.

Clean, sharp edges all around - not even any vacuum cleaner dings. The hinges are all in good working order and stay vertical when raised, and nicely horizontal when lowered. There is some minor fading overall on the base, with one end of the base having a much lighter appearance than the other three sides. Oddly enough, the tray portion shows no fading. It's just that one narrow end of the base.
