An exceptional Chippendale or Queen Anne extension dining table. By Baker Furniture, "Stately Homes Collection". Book-matched burled walnut, having a rounded rectangular top with molded and cross-banded borders inlaid with double arrow pattern bands.

The shaped frieze has a carved gadrooned border and rests on cabriole legs that are carved on the knees with scrolls and acanthus leaves and terminates in pad feet. Measures: 78"W x 48"D x 29.38H.

Extends up to 130.5"W with three 17.5" leaves. This table appears in The Dictionary of English Furniture, MacQuoid and Edwards.
