This Irish Demilune features a frieze carved with scrolls set on top of three highly carved cabriole legs carved on the knees with the masks of grimacing Irish leprechauns with lower bell flower terminating in carved ball and claw feet.

The original was found in the home of the Right Honourable, the Earl of Drogheda, Moore Abbey in Ireland, circa 1770, a rare Irish Chippendale rococo carved mahogany piece.
