Chippendale Mahogany 8ft Extending Claw Foot Dining Table C1890. This quality large extending dining table in solid mahogany, Circa 1890, in the chippendale style, with elongated top with D-ends (rounded ends) and carved edge, over a plain frieze with lower lipped edge. Raised on carved legs, with carved paw and claw feet, on well proportioned brass castors. The table extends by way of a Joseph Fitter "Patent" screw mechanism on sliding stretchers, with removable winding handle.

Single leaf and the table can be set at either with or without the leaf. A handsome, well made table, in good condition overall and very much ready for use. This table measures approximately 74.5. Long fully extended, 122.5. Please see the pictures for details of the items condition.

This table is in good condition structurally and reasonably good cosmetically , commensurate with its age. Some minor marks, blemishes, and light scratches to the top. The leaf is a shade darker.

Good patina, and with a good polish. Winding mechanism, handle, castors all work well.

Very much ready for use. As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
