Chippendale Style TILT TOP TABLE Post War 2, Carved Claw Feet w Wheels MAHOGANY
This is a good table, it is solid, stands evenly on the floor, the finish is good/ clean, tilting mechanism works easily and has a spring-loaded brass latch that holds the top flat to prevent unexpected tilting (partially visible in photo #3). Has iron swivel wheels that roll easily. Believed to be from the late 1900s - after 1950s, exact age unknown, maker unknown. Attractive and sure to enhance any room setting. Please see photos #6 and 7 (there is an old repair to the left side of the tray top which is tight and a surface blemish about the size of a quarter to the lower right). The top is completely round, circular. No damage to the rim, some bumps to the feet, no burn marks, no glass-ring marks. Detailed carvings to the paw feet, legs and center column. Pictures include full view, sides, close ups, claw feet with castors, and the top surface. Measurements: 27 inches diameter; 29.5 inches tall when serving; 21 inches between feet.
