There are multiple high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of this page. This piece is a masterclass of craftsmanship, each white chess square is penwork carved depicting a Chinese scene, some have elephants, others flowers, princesses, village scenes, palace scenes, it is glorious. The table is as mentioned a tilt top, the idea being you can place it in the corner of a room and it becomes a decorative piece of art.
We have cleaned waxed and polished it, the tilt function works just fine, there is a small piece of veneer missing in the middle bottom, otherwise it has a genuine and honest finish, its nearly 200 years old so it can be forgiven some vices. Height:- 103cm titled up.
Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
