Circa 1870 Pietra Dura Marble & Mahogany Centre Tripod Table Butterfly's Griffin

  

There are around 50-100 high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of this page. One of the best looking and well made centre tables I have ever seen, in the world of Art Furniture this has to be coming close to top of the list, it looks absolutely exquisite from every angle, the hand carved legs depict Griffins with their tongues out, the wings form part of the legs and the feet are the classical Lion hair paw. The Pietra Dura marble top is equally sublime, its very rare to see this type of table with butterflys and ever rarer to find one from this era in this condition.

We have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished the timber from top to bottom, the marble has been lightly cleaned and polished. There are some age related patina marks to the top and normal timber wear to the base, noting that you wouldnt expect from a table thats nearly 150 years old.
