This gorgeous dining table was hand-crafted around the end of the 19th century and early 20th. Done in the Chippendale revival style, it is done entirely of walnut, including solid burlwood, heart, & sap wood. It was all used to create multiple textures and colors using the natural colors and marquetry.
It has four cabriole legs with beautifully carved foliate designs in on the legs crests and body that echo the 2 trim edging the outside of the table. These legs end in dramatically detailed ball and claw feet. Complete with joints and long claws. The table was designed to hold leaves but there are none with it currently. It measures 30 1/2" high, 62" long, and 47 wide.
It weighs between 75 - 100 lbs. This piece is in good to very good condition for its age. Showcasing exemplary craftsmanship, it does have light markings in the table top and heaver character marks on the feet.
