Century Italian Giltwood occasional table with later Specimen marble top. This table is as mentioned a very rare 18. Century piece, the top would have most likely been replaced in the early Victorian era for this stunning Specimen marble top as was the fashion of the day for exceptionally luxury furniture.

Its giltwood and heavily carved all over depicting winged sphinxes on each corner finished with hoof feet, there is floral detail all over including what looks to be a basket of flowers in the middle bottom. The stretcher to the base has a very old repair of sorts in the form of a metal rod system, it looks well over 100 years old to me, there is a later support bar fitting under the top again for additional stability.
