Tiger Maple Set Side Table Plus Matching 5 Drawer Chest (NEW) Lid Compartment

  
Marriage of two which are still together. Diminutive Side Tea Table plus 4 Drawer over single draw tea chest. A rare and complete set. This was a copy from an old New England 1735 estate in York Maine. This set is wonderfully designed because it could be divorced if so desired.

Yet amazingly, still, co-exist in the same room. However the chest sits snugly in its custom design table if it was used in that fashion. The chest dimensions are 19-in tall 13-in wide 11-in deep. In the photographs at times the drawers may look as if they are lacking figure. They are not, I have taken one shot to just dispel that notion.

They were all taken from the same highly figured board. The top section is a compartment as you can see in the photograph the lid comes off.

The two front small matching drawers are false draws. Secondary wood is Clear Hand Scrubbed New England White Pine.

There are two pictures of the faces of lid and table top. Maybe you have noticed something missing, the belt step out trim. The tea table dimensions are 13-in x 11-in x 18 and 3/4-in tall.

Together the Chest and custom table are 37 tall. The couple's majesty will captivate any room yet will not crowd it. The chest lid is used for a variety of functions to display. Because objects, flowers, books, family portraits, etc, would be 37 high, almost chest level. Remarkably when separation works for the best, the side tea table matches the same height of an average coffee table, 18 and 3/4.

As seen in the picture it is very practical next to a chair. As with all our work it is completed with Button Lac French Polish from the foothills of the Himalayas. Then topped off with shop made aged beeswax. I have them photographed in this listing. The lot total weight is 26 pounds.
